Thanks to Beaverdale Books for a Fun Author Event on November 7
Thanks to everyone who took time away from a beautiful Sunday afternoon to join Joe LeValley for a discussion of writing, crime, mystery, suspense and all things books on November 7. Thanks especially to everyone at Beaverdale Books in Des Moines for hosting the event.
The discussion began with Joe giving a brief background about his path to becoming an author, and about each of the four Tony Harrington novels published so far. The latest novel, Performing Murder, officially releases on November 15. Joe read two passages from the fourth book, one emphasizing Tony's belief in the importance of the work he does as a newspaper reporter, and one describing a physical encounter between Tony and a mysterious man surveilling his home. The people in attendance asked excellent questions about the books, the origins of the fictional town of Orney, Iowa, the writing process, and other topics. |
